About

Drop-Stitch inflatable, explained

Drop-Stitch is a technology born in the marine industry. Thousands of polyester threads are stretched between two PVC sheets, creating an internal weave that prevents the inflatable from deforming under pressure. That’s why a Gigi pool holds a near-vertical wall at 0.8 bar, while a standard inflatable bulges and loses all rigidity.

All our pools use 1,000-denier double-layer PVC, thermo-welded rather than glued. This construction delivers durable watertightness even after several deflate-store winters. It also keeps colors stable over time — no obvious fading after two seasons in full sun.

In use, a Drop-Stitch pool sets up in 30 to 45 minutes depending on diameter. No excavation, no concrete pad needed: a flat, clean floor is enough, ideally with a ground cloth to protect the fabric on grass. The included electric pump reaches rated pressure in half an hour, and the pool drains just as quickly through the built-in port.

Every model accepts a standard external filtration pump (3 to 10 m³/h depending on volume) and can be heated with a heat pump or exchanger. For the French and US markets, we offer filtration kits matched to each reference in our Accessories section.

Finally — and this is the Gigi signature — every pool is hand-inspected at our French workshop before it ships. 24-hour pressure hold, seams checked with a scope, accessories tested. No order leaves without our expert’s sign-off.

Frequently asked questions

The 3 m model fits 4 adults comfortably. For longer family sessions with kids, step up to the 4 m (7,500 L), where you can walk around inside. The rectangular 4 × 2 m is a good alternative if you also want to swim.
