Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-15. Gigi France is committed to making gigifrance.com accessible to the widest possible audience, in line with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act.
1. Our commitment
Gigi France commits to meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA on gigifrance.com. The goal: an equivalent experience for everyone, regardless of sensory, cognitive or motor capabilities.
The site was designed with these standards in mind from day one — verified color contrast, full keyboard navigation, screen-reader-tested, text alternatives, visible focus states.
2. Conformance status
[TO COMPLETE: full / partial / non-conformance — depending on the official VPAT audit]. Until an official audit is commissioned, we publish a partial conformance statement based on internal verification.
Criteria evaluated: color contrast (4.5:1 minimum target), full keyboard navigation, semantic structure (heading hierarchy, lists, ARIA landmarks), text alternatives, respect for `prefers-reduced-motion`.
3. Known non-accessible content
[TO DOCUMENT: list content that does not meet WCAG AA here — typically videos without captions, untagged PDFs, etc.]
We address these on a rolling basis. If you encounter an undocumented obstacle, please report it via the Accessibility contact below.
4. Official audit
[TO SCHEDULE: a VPAT 2.4 audit by an accredited firm — target within 12 months of launch]. The audit report will be published here and replace this template with a binding conformance statement.
5. Accessibility contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier that prevents you from accessing content or functionality, please email accessibility@gigifrance.com. Response within 5 business days.
6. Enforcement
US: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act apply. Complaints may be filed with the US Department of Justice — ada.gov.
EU/France: complaints can be filed with the Défenseur des droits — defenseurdesdroits.fr.
